How to know someone is a jerk...

...when they drive a very large 4WD with a decal on the back window reading 'Does not play well with small cars'. Seen on the way to the library today. Also my enter key does not seem to be working. Also you know that thing you get after a 'flu jab that feels like you have the 'flu, but you actually don't? I suppose I should be grateful it didn't show up while I was in Canberra (actual jab was on Monday).

People like that are usually all talk and no action. Their brand new 4wd is worth about $45k. When it comes to messing with my 16 year old charade which is worth basically nothing but the convenience it brings me, they aren't going to take the risk.

It's more the 'I've ensconced myself in the largest thing on the road, and I don't care about you' attitude that irritated me. A lady in one of my yoga classes has been hit twice by 4WD drivers whilst on her bike. Fortunately only with minor injuries, but it's pretty scary. One was a hit and run...

It may not have been intentional hit and run. Not that it makes it any better. I saw a bus swipe a pedestrian once. Thankfully the guy wasn't hurt, but the bus driver just kept going. It was the back end of the bus and he didn't even realise he had hit the guy. That's the problem with those bigger cars. If its at night and dark, or you're not looking, you can hit something smaller and you're so big you don't feel the impact
