Out damn spot!

angharad_gamThere is a big pussy pimple on my eyebrow that is kind of sore and annoying. I have been quite pimply lately; I don't know why, only that my skin has been really greasy. Perhaps it's the weather, perhaps my hormones are going a bit haywire. But you would think that if my skin was going to act like a fifteen year old's it would at least have the good grace to get rid of some wrinkles while it was at it.
My supervisor and I managed to finally get the working group on a certain project to stop arguing about the details and let us get on with implementing them - only a week before it is due! A day off is not unwelcome, but I really wish the long weekend were next weekend not this one.
It seems that mediaeval Spanish food involves a lot of mutton, quinces and aubergines. Unfortunately I think quinces will be out of season in October (based on the fact that they are currently in season, which I know because I bought some at the markets this afternoon).
