I suppose that doesn't preclude the author from writing another one - it wraps up at a point equivalent to Napoleon's first exile, with the strong suggestion that in the book's AU there will be no second exile for him - but she could always come back to do Waterloo I guess.
The series did bog down quite a bit in the middle, but the last two picked up a lot and the last one in particular was pretty good, and a very satisfactory ending to it all.
