Is it ultrasound season or what?

Maybe all the sonographers have swine flu at the moment.

To go back a little bit, I had a lovely day with mum and the kids at the museum and the botanic gardens on Friday. Then I went to the doctor to get my blood test results. And the news was very good - I now have excellently iron-filled blood, and many many red blood cells. And other sorts of things that show I am not just covering up an underlying iron deficiency by swallowing swagloads of iron tablets. So that was good. But I also asked her about my ankle, which was not entirely happy about traipsing about (and dragging toddlers) all day. She sent me off with an ultrasound request. So I rang up this morning, expecting to get an appointment early next week, and it wasn't until I got off the phone that I realised the time I was given was not for this Tuesday, but next Tuesday! Too bad if my foot was about to fall off! But I guess it's been muddling along this long, so waiting another week to find out if I have any ligament damage probably won't hurt. So long as I don't step in any more holes....

Mum went home this morning. She normally leaves something behind, often her pajamas. Last time it was her toothbrush. Today she left her camera.

*sigh* nine-thirty and the little sods are not asleep yet. I love my kids :-)

I feel I should say hello, so ... hello !
How's life ? :-)

(and I sympathise on the ankle thing - [livejournal.com profile] rwrylsin's ankle is still bothering her a bit after this accident in April (http://rwrylsin.livejournal.com/246641.html). It'll get better eventually, just watch out for those sneaky holes ... )

Yes, those cursed holes. A woman I work with had a very similar sounding accident to rwrylsin (involving her, a bicycle, and a 4WD) and did a very similar thing to her ankle that I did around about the same time. It really must be the season for it. It makes stepping in a hole seem pretty unexciting really. You would not think such a simple thing could do so much damage, but I guess 15kg+ of toddler has a surprisingly effect (but then two year olds generally do - have a surprising effect that is).

Life is muddling along as it tends to. I have three kids now, if you hadn't noticed, which keeps things interesting.

Living in interesting times ?

It sounds like they're keeping things very interesting ! (I read back through a few of your LJ entries).
How old are they ?
(None for [livejournal.com profile] rwrylsin and I, although she's been reading some Scary Books lately :-) )

Oh yes indeed (see latest post). My children are brilliant and crazy and infuriating and delightful. They are 8, 5 and 2. Scary books? Like the 'Left Behind' series? :-)

Scary books, like this (http://www.amazon.com/What-Expect-Youre-Expecting-Revised/dp/089480829X). :-O
Oh well, we have a house now, that's a good start :-)
