Big sigh of relief...

Well that's another feast out of the way. Now I just have to work out what to do with the leftovers. Chicken and coriander soup anyone? Actually between myself and the people at work most of the cheesecake, bizcocho and marzipan pastries I took home have been scoffed already.

The feast went quite well really. I had a most excellent kitchen crew who slaved tirelessly for 12 hrs and hardly anything at all went wrong. The only real hitch was that the K & Q delayed second remove for 45mins, but royalty tend to do that. And I even managed to get up the next morning and make Andy blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

And today I mostly finished off a piece of work that has been hanging over my head for a little while. The deadline is tomorrow, but in the last couple of weeks I have been dragged away from it by other things. So all round a time for taking a deep breath and wondering what comes next. Maybe just not much for a bit.

And now I'm buying myself some books on Amazon for my birthday, since the dollar is somewhere in the stratosphere atm...
