And so it begins....

First Christmas party of the silly season today. This was just our workgroup, and organised at fairly short notice, because we only realised last week that this is the last week all of us will be available before the end of the year. For myself there is only three weeks left (and I'm starting to rather look forward to the break), of which one week is a course I'm giving. I'm somewhat regretting agreeing to give this course now, because not only is it sucking up a week of what suddenly seems like not a lot of work time, but the extra time it has been taking up for preparation is also being rather sorely missed. And then of course, there's all the Christmas parties.....
