Tonsillitis!

Blergh! But hopefully caught in the early stages (I went to the doctor for something else on Friday and said 'by the way I've had a sore throat for a couple of days'), where gargling salty water is sufficient to shift it.

Meanwhile, the other morning when I got up, there was an inch ant crawling up the inside of our toilet wall. It crawled right up to the ceiling and got caught in the web of a rather small daddy long legs spider. The spider (which was smaller than the ant) seemed uncertain as to whether this was a magnificent feast or a terrifying spectacle as the ant wriggled and wriggled and wriggled. Eventually all this wriggling paid off, and the ant fell out of the spider's web and dropped to the floor. Apparently unharmed it sat rubbing all the spider web goo off itself and then wandered off.
