Maybe I'd better not get a smart phone....
Jun. 9th, 2010 09:03 pmSo now my new phone is kind of all frozen up. The screen is blank and illuminated and it is completely unresponsive. I think what has happened is that the kids were messing about with it, recording silly noises and making videos and they've probably completely filled up the memory. And now the phone has no more brain space to process simple requests like turning itself off.
I have tried plugging it into my computer to see if I can delete the offending space suckers from there, but so far my computer has failed to recognise there is a phone attached to it. Mind you, it does this half the time when my phone is not borked anyway. So, if the Sony Ericsson website has no solutions, the only option might be to let the battery run down, recharge it and then see if it restarts. The old 'turn it off and on again' solution.
My father has a similarly poor record with mobile phones. He has managed to destroy two iPhones in the last twelve months, by dropping them in bodies of water. The first time in the Noosa River, the second in an effluent pond.
