Some anecdotes

Yesterday I went to the doctor to ask for some time off work to try and get over this cold that has been coming and going for the last couple of weeks. 'I see you are prone to tonsillitis," says he. "Shall I give you a prescription for some penicillin just in case?" "No," I said. "I think if it was going to turn into tonsillitis it would have done it already" So I woke up this morning with a sore throat.

Not tonsillitis though, I think, or a very mild case if it is.

Also yesterday I was sitting on the front step with Ashwyn while we were waiting for the other children to come from school. "What's that noise?" he asked. "It's a lawnmower," I said. "See the man there with the lawnmower."
"No," he said. "It's a chainsaw." And would not be foresaid.
A few moments later...
"What's that?"
"A little girl on a scooter."
"No, it's a spy."
He makes a habit of these sort of insistences. There are no elephants, only dinosaurs, and all dinosaurs and dragons can be designated as nothing other than monsters.

And this morning someone wee'd in the potty. Since no one noticed who did it, and all the children are denying any involvement we are not sure if we should be happy or not.
