Since it's been a while...
Ashwyn is sick. He has the thing that's going around I think, and an ear infection on top of it. He has never liked taking medicine and trying to get him to drink penicillin has been painful at times. This morning we had a performance like his namesake from the Alien movie, thrashing about with white liquid bubbling out of his mouth.
About an hour before bedtime tonight Liam seemed to plunge into a sudden and extreme depressive episode, wailing in utmost despair about every little thing. He didn't want to go to school tomorrow, he claimed. He seems to have settled down now, but only since I carefully explained to him what would happen if someone at school broke his leg. Whether someone at school has actually threatened him with this, or whether it is just a product of his dramatic imagination I don't know.
I have spent a large chunk of the last twenty-four hours trying to finish my latest homework assignment. It was a very tricky one, and I am so pleased with myself that I seem to have gotten at least the first part working problem (sadly this part is not actually marked!). But minor glitches are holding back final completion, and I think I am going to have to give it up and go on to the next one, which is a trifle frustrating.
I had a blood test and my iron levels are low again, which is not a big surprise. I can't get in to see my doctor again until next week, but I expect it will be time for iron injections again. I'm certainly not messing about with hormones again.
I'm really hoping not to get the thing that's going around. The next month and a half or so are going to be really pretty mad, and I need the next couple of weeks as well to sort things out.
