Not all beer and skittles
Nov. 24th, 2012 06:39 pmProbably a good thing as l am fond of neither beer nor skittles. But there have been a few teething difficulties with my phone. Mostly around internet access.
l was on a mobile plan with no data, as there was not much point without a smart phone. So l switched to one which I thought had data but actually didn't, and then wondered why l had no internet. So then l did the silly thing and tried to fix it myself. I managed to get some internet applications working, but it turns out this is a bad thing when you don't actually have internet access as it just costs you a lot of money. Anyway, internet is all sorted out now, and I am actually writing this on the go as it were.
l also can't say l am hugely impressed by Kies, the Samsung PC interface software. When I synched the music on my laptop with my phone it not only uploaded all the albums and so on, but it also copied over all the voice and music files from an old but favourite game called Pharaoh. And I can't work out how to remove them. And when I tried to synch my phone and Outlook contacts it flat out refused. Didn't throw an error, just didn't do it.
But still, my new phone is cool.
