This morning Andy was telling me about a dream he had on Friday night (or perhaps Sat morning would be more accurate) after the party next door. He dreamed that I summoned an Avatar of Khaine and sent it chasing down the street after the rowdies. For those unfamiliar with the Warhammer 40k universe, an Avatar of Khaine is a sort of giant flaming statue (a futuristic Elvish version of a Balrog if you will). I was rather taken with this, but Andy said he was just worried that it would damage our house. Normally I am the recipient of strange dreams around here.

It is nine o'clock and Liam is still making encore appearances. It is his habit, after going to bed, to get up four or five times to go to the toilet (and check out what everyone else is doing on the way of course). Since at least a couple of these visitations do seem to be genuine requirements, it's a bit hard to ban them completely. However, he can't really get through the doors by himself, and he frequently disturbs Ashwyn, so it's kind of irritating.

Today I had a go at making Friseye (or Strawberye as it was also called). This is a sort of mediaeval equivalent of strawberry mousse. It's not unpleasant, but a bit unusual, and Andy and the kids have turned their noses up at it. So now I have a fridge full of pink goo. I hope I don't have to eat it all myself! I have made it before, quite a while ago, but I discovered a few variations, and since I am planning on cooking it at Newcomers I thought I'd have a bit of a practice. I would post the recipe, but I need to go make lunches in a few minutes...

Andy bought the new Street Fighter game today. For some reason most of the characters, including the female ones, are exceedingly beefy - just ridiculously muscle-bound - and for some equally unfathomable reason this is greatly perturbing me.
