The usual ABC2 concert that they play between Code Geass and Cowboy Bebop this week was Queen and since then I have had Queen songs stuck in my head.

And I have been obsessing about my feast menu. I think I have worked out a way to feasibly do everything I want to - if I can get enough precookers - but I still have not done the budget yet, so I don't know if I can afford to do it all. I need more hours in the day. I used to do my budgets on scrappy bits of paper, which meant I could do them on breaks at work, but I have decided it is more efficient to do them in spreadsheets (it is more efficient for some things anyway) so now I can only do them at home in the evenings (if the laptop comes out while Ashwyn is up he immediately confiscates it).

Rosquillas, by the way, seem to be a Spanish version of jumbles, which are a 16th century English biscuit that is boiled before being baked. The information I have found about them online seems to suggest they are kind of fiddly to make, so I might have a bit of an experiment on the weekend. If I don't think I can make 100 in an afternoon then they may have to go. Before then however, I have been coopted to make birthday cake/dessert for my brother-in-law. At the moment lemon and lime cream tart is on the books, which is fine by me as it is easy as pie ha ha!

And now I am thinking the Masterchef contestants are wusses because they are stressed over cooking eight dishes (including a lemon and lime tart) for 150 in five hours with six people. Pah! I say to them - pah! Still, I am kind of hoping that Collette limits the feast to 80 not 100 people.

Ah well, off to slave over the spreadsheets, with visions of Albujaunas (mutton rissoles) dancing in my head (to Brian May guitar solos).....
