What was I going to say again?
Dec. 19th, 2009 09:19 pmI haven't posted for quite a while, and I had quite a few things I was going to talk about but they seem to have been knocked out of my head by a horrible evening with horribly behaving children.
I was very glad to have my last day at work on Friday. I spent most of the last week teaching a course, which I ended up enjoying quite a lot. And then finished up with the office Christmas party on Friday afternoon. So not a bad week all told, but it feels like a long long time since I have had a break and I am quite happy to be having three weeks off now. Tomorrow we are heading down to Millicent where we shall remain until Wednesday. Unlikely to be internet access there.
I am feeling highly pleased that I managed to finish all my Christmas shopping more than a week ago (I had to really, because I would have had no time last week or next week).
Today we had beans:
I don’t know why they have grown all curly, but the yellow ones are particularly good.
Some recent Liamisms:
I wish my brain was in control of me - no wait! My brain is in control of me.
Me: Are you trying to pour water on your head?
Liam: No, I'm trying to pour poo on my head.
Me: Who wants to have poo on their head?
Liam: Nobody does, but only I do. Because I'm made of horrible stuff.
(referring to Andy's new remote control helicopter)
Oh look Daddy, you've got a crashing helicopter.
How to know it is Christmas at our house:
Oh, and I am not actually iron deficient, but my iron stores are still very low. The doctor has recommended I have a series of iron injections, which are surprisingly unpainful (I had the first on Thursday). The nice thing about this is I can stop taking iron tablets (at least for a little while).
