Once upon a time...

...I had a decent night's sleep. I swear, it used to happen all the time.

Last night Ashwyn woke up at 10:30pm and eventually, in order to try and get him back to sleep, I took him to bed with me. And he stayed wide awake. Which meant I did. It's pretty hard to sleep when there's a small boy wriggling around beside you. By 1:30am he had finally actually dropped off, when Erin came in and asked me to put calamine lotion on her mosquito bites, and woke him up. End result, about four hours sleep. Blergh! I was pretty useless at work today, although if that boy doesn't sleep through tonight, tomorrow I shall be fit for nothing more than desk tidying (and it's pretty due for a tidying).

Somewhere in between all this, I managed to catch some bits of The Waters of Mars (most recent Dr Who episode), mostly the ending, which was actually rather good and kind of gave me the creeps. Only two more episodes of David Tennant Doctor left....

And only two more days of hot weather left....
