It's beginning to feel a lot like...

Stressmas actually, after just getting back from hauling three raucous kids around the packed shops. Shopping had to be done tonight because I am working all this week, and we need to cook tomorrow night (well, not need, but cooking tomorrow night seems like a better idea than cooking on Saturday when it will be 34). We are making a guiness glazed ham, and marinated quails. And an almond croissant pudding and pavlova (courtesy of Andy's mum) for dessert. And of course the shops will be closed until wednesday and there are three hungry maniacs who need to be kept in fruit and biscuits.
I have been having strange dreams all week. Not the same one, a different one each night. It's not unusual for me to have surreal dreams, but it is to have them so close together. Just one, smple, surreal and vivid dream each night. Last I was wandering around a military base in Edinburgh looking for a radiology office where I was supposed to be having a barium meal. A few days ago I dreamed that Erin disappeared, and we found her some miles away having decided to go for a long walk with a family she'd only just met.
Tonight at the shops, in a foolish act of altruism, ie trying to stop a ranom shopping trolley ramming into someone's car, I was clocked in the shin by said trolley, and now I have a big lump on my shin. There is going to be a splendid bruise there tomorrow.
This week has really dragged actually. Motivation at work has been practically zero. I don't know that I'm hanging out for Christmas so much as I am for the two weeks I am having off afterwards.
Anyway I doubt I shall post again before, so Merry Christmas to all. Have a safe and happy holiday period.
