Some more photos of Unseen University bits, below the cut (at least there will be if I can make it work – Live Writer is being uncooperative). Some bits have not quite worked out as well as I would have liked, but for the most part I’m quite pleased with it.

The bits so far, excluding the Tower of Art. This is about half the University. i have no idea where I’m going to put this when I have finished it. As it is we have drifts of board games piling up in our bedroom.

This is the Library. OOK!

The Observatory – this is one of my favourite buildings so far.

The back of the Observatory.

Another shot showing the top of the Observatory

The High Energy Magic Building. The globes on top have not come out very well. They were a bit fiddly Winking smile

The Tower of Art. As you can see, this is bucking huge. Huge! Where I am going to put this?

Also I’m slightly annoyed that they seem to have printed the bottom segment in a slightly different colour to the rest. It spoils the effect a bit.

A close-up of the turrets at the top of the Tower of Art.

There are three more buildings to go, but I’m only half way through the pages of printed cut-outs. Two out of the three remaining are hideously detailed and complicated. If I do a good job they will look awesome. If I mess them up….

Well, no it doesn't. You see the bottom third of the Tower of Art was what was left of the original after the builders of the High Energy Magic building didn't quite make perfect spheres on top of the building because they were too fiddly. And then Ponder had to rebuild the top two-thirds before the Arch-Chanceller noticed.

Going to the Adelaide Convivium?

[And impressive model - what's the source?]

I didn't realise there was such a thing, and it looks like it's on the same weekend as Midwinter when I shall be just the tiniest bit busy.

And the model comes from a book my mother found on sale at a bookshop in Mooloolaba. It is published by Transworld/Doubleday

Impressive ! Sadly, I have too many thumbs for that sort of thing, the last one I tried ended up more blob-shaped than building-shaped. I'll stick to Lego :)

There are occasionally benefits to having small fingers. :-)
