Up to our elbows in it....
Aug. 2nd, 2009 09:01 pmI didn't mention that Liam was sick on Wednesday night. It didn't seem like a big deal since it was just the once and he was fortuitously on his way to brush his teeth at the time, so he managed to get most of it in the sink. And that was the end of it I thought.
Until 4am this morning when I was woken up by Ashwyn crying because he had been sick. Actually we suspected he had been sick about 1am but just went back to sleep and lay in it for a bit (kids'll do that). So I changed all his clothes, changed all the bed clothes, put him back to bed. 6am, same deal, somewhat smaller volume. 9am, you get the picture. After that his stomach was empty, so we were spared for a bit. Either that or it was just the remarkable capacity of children to only throw up during the hours of darkness. Because 45 mins ago, lo and behold, another set of sheets needing to be changed.
So now the house smells like vomit, and Andy and I are having a resurgence of the horrible lingering cold, mostly I suspect due to lack of sleep. Still, at least no one has thrown up on me yet. One is grateful for the small mercies.
